Villa Santai is an idyllic retreat awaiting your Rote Island escape.

Accommodating surfers,fisherman,families,couples and small group bookings.

Located on the white sands of Nemberala beach, directly in front of the world class left handler known as T-LAND.

No need to get a motorbike to the surf T-Land just walk out our gate and you will be transported to the surf in our speedboat- included in rate.

Comprising three spacious Rotenese inspired bungalows, with western amenities. As we are boutique and cater for small groups, this will enable your comfort and privacy.

Surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and only fifty meters to the waters edge.

Villa Santai is owned and managed by Australians and staffed by Indonesians.

The property is incased within a two meter high natural stone wall insuring privacy and security.
Guest are treated with three magnificent meals per day included in your nightly rate. Our chef sources only the freshest organic ingredients to use in her dishes. Many of these vegetables and herbs are grown in Villa Santai’s own vegetable garden.
Your meal will have Fresh fish, other seafood when in season, chicken and beef is sourced locally.
Every meal provided will be a taste buds delight, you will be amazed at the different flavours they receive. Indonesia is known as the Spice Islands for a reason.
To finish off your evening meal a delicious desert will be provided to tantalise those with sweet tooth!

About the area

Rote Island is situated northwest of Australia. It lies to the southeast of Flores and Sumba and to the southwest of West Timor (capital is Kupang). As such, it is one of the southernmost islands in the whole of Asia.
Rote island has an area of 1,200 km2 (463 sq mi).
The main town, Ba'a, is located on the northern side of the island. Rote has a good surf area in the south around the village of Nemberala. Rote island has a population of over 100,000. Over 80% of Rote’s inhabitants are Christians. Rote island has two seasons wet season from December to March and dry season from April to December, best time to visit Rote Island is from April to November.
