Our advice for you would be to rent your own scooter. The roads in Kuta are some of the most crowded in Bali and it's simpler, cheaper and quicker to go with a scooter. Of course, taking a  taxi is also an option, especially for groups and families. In every streets of Kuta you'll find taxi drivers eager to find passengers to drive to their next adventures. You can also rent your own car, but we would recommend you not to do this in Kuta because of the intense traffic.

Yes. Kuta beaches are very famous for surfing. All along the main beach, you'll have surfboard rentals and local surf teachers for beginners. Don't hesitate to  negotiate the price, it's part of the deal.

You should visit the Bali Bombing Memorial in Jl. Legian at least once during your stay. It's a very emotional place but the locals appreciate it if tourists empathize with their pain.

Drugs are illegal in Indonesia and we really recommend not to buy any. Sometimes some people will offer you some but the "dealers“ are either undercover policemen or they cooperate with the police. Yes, they can get rewards for this. Bali is an incredible place and it's definitely possible to enjoy it without drugs!

Kuta Beach itself is not ideal for diving but there are many tour operators around. They'll be happy to pick you up at your accommodation, take you to the most beautiful diving sites in Bali and return you to your residence in the evening.

Kuta can be considered as the most famous and lively area on Bali. The district is never sleeping and if you like to party hard whilst spending relaxing days on the beach, Kuta is the perfect destination for you.

There are hundreds of Surf schools in Kuta and most of them do a great job in teaching you how to catch your first green wave. If you want to try it on your own, just go to the beach and rent a surfboard. They are about 50.000IDR per hour and we really recommend you to take a soft board for your first try.
